Terms and Conditions
By submitting the form on the home page of this website entitled Request to Be Added To Our Speakers Bureau Roster, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
For all inquiries that The Alexander Speakers Bureau receives our automated system:
* Hand picks 3 speakers from our roster who are a good match for the clients needs
* Emails our client letting them know that 3 speakers we’ve chosen will be contacting them
* Emails our client’s event details to the three speakers selected
The speakers are expected to contact our client, negotiate their rate and do a contract with our client if they close the booking, and pay us 25% of the speaking fee they receive.
Communicate To Bureau when You Close a Booking
The Speaker agrees to inform the bureau by email if they close a speaking opportunity sent to them by the Bureau.

Agreement to Follow Up
The Speaker hereby agrees to follow up each speaking opportunity lead they receive from the Bureau in the most timely manner possible. Each lead contains the specific manner in which the Bureau’s Client would like to be contacted.
The Speaking Opportunity Leads
The Speaking Opportunity Leads contain one of the Bureau’s Client’s contact information and details about the event that the Client is planning and for which they are interested in booking a speaker. The details on each lead will vary as some Clients know their event date, budget and location but some do not. The Client’s contact information shall appear on every Speaking Opportunity Lead along with a main topic that matches one of the Speaker’s topics. See sample leads here.
Delivery of Leads
The Bureau will e-mail the lead information for each lead directly to the Speaker.
No Sub Vending of Leads
Speaker agrees never to vend out the Bureau’s Client information or event details that are contained in the lead to any other speaker or 3rd party.
Maximum Amount for Travel
The Speaker agrees to limit travel and misc. expenses to 10$ – 15% or less of the speaking fee unless they have previous approval from the Bureau. Local bookings are those bookings in which the event location is within 150 miles of the speakers residence and thus require no travel or misc. expenses.
Permission to Text
The Speaker hereby gives permission for the Bureau to TEXT them when an email lead is sent to them. The text serves as a reminder that the Speaker has a speaking opportunity lead from the Bureau in their email box. This permission supersedes any state ‘do not call’ lists the Speaker may be on as express permission has been given to the Bureau to text them when they have been sent a speaking opportunity via email from the Bureau. The Speaker may choose not to be texted if they wish.
Privacy of Lead and Event Details
The Speaker agrees not to post the Client’s information on any public forum or ‘leads’ board or ‘bidding’ type of web site. The Clients have not given their permission for such a posting and it would be a violation of their privacy.
Speaker Handles All Details of the Booking
The Speaker agrees to contact the prospective Client, negotiate terms and rates, contract the booking, arrange travel, and attend to all other details related to the specific bookings that they obtain with the Bureau’s Clients.
Notification To Bureau
The Speaker agrees to notify the bureau by email if the Client decides to book or not book the Speaker for a particular event .
Payment To Bureau
The Speaker agrees to pay the Bureau 25% of their speaking fee (not including travel expense) should they secure a contract with the Client and be paid by the Client. 15% of any book or product sales at the presentation.

This agreement apply’s to any and all follow up bookings the Speaker obtains with the Bureau’s Clients. Any services the Speaker provides for the Bureau’s Clients, are hereby bound by this contract and these terms. Should the Speaker already have a Speaker-Client relationship with one of the Speaking Opportunity Lead Clients the Bureau sends to the Speaker, Speaker agrees to notify the Bureau ASAP on receipt of the email lead.
Timeliness of Payments
Speaker agrees to pay the Bureau within 7 days of receiving payments from the Bureau’s Client.
Follow Up Bookings
Speaker agrees to pay 25% of any and all follow up bookings they obtain from the Bureau’s Client. This includes 15% of book and product sales.
The Speaker and Bureau are both considered independent contractors and this agreement shall in no way be construed as one of employment, employer, or employee.
Speaker does hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, Bureau it’s employees, agents, officials and related entities from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and expenses as incurred) which it or any of them may incur or be obligated to pay in any action, claim or proceeding against any of them, for or by reason of Client’s acts, whether of omission or commission, arising out of, related to, or in connection with this agreement or any circumstance arising out of, related to or in connection with Client’s performance under this agreement.
Duration of Contract
This contract shall remain in effect indefinitely. It may be cancelled by either party by notifying the other in writing or by email.
No Promise of Income
The Bureau makes no promise or implication of income, revenue or sales or response from the Client to the Speaker. The Bureau’s Client may fail to purchase, lose their budget, change their mind, cancel their event, be unresponsive, or choose another speaker. The Speaker understands that this is part of accepting a Lead and agrees that the securing of any compensation, agreement or response from a Client is entirely their responsibility.
Client Failure to Pay
The Speaker accepts total responsibility for their contract and dealings with the Bureau’s client, including securing both the deposit and final balance due for the Speaker’s services. The Bureau is in no way liable for any such payments, collection thereof, or for anything related or pertaining to the contract, terms or agreement between the Bureau’s Client and the Speaker.
Emailing confirmation to Alexander that you agree to these terms and conditions shall be considered the equivalent of signing and agreeing to this contract and and is binding.
Applicable Law. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. In any dispute arising out of this agreement the parties hereby consent to personal and exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the State and Federal Courts located in the City and County of Dallas Texas.
Attorneys’ Fees & Costs. If Client or Bureau breaches this agreement, the breaching party will pay all the costs and attorneys’ fees incurred by the other party in connection with such breach, whether or not any arbitration or litigation is commenced.
Entire Agreement. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between the Client and Bureau with respect to the subject matters herein, and super-seed and replaces any prior agreements and understandings, whether oral or written, between and among them with respect to such matters. The provisions of this agreement may be waved, altered, modified, amended or repealed in whole or in part only upon the written consent of both Client and Bureau.
No Implied Waivers. The failure of either party at any time to require performance by any other party of any provision hereof will not affect in any way the right to require such performance at any time thereafter, nor will the waiver by any party of a breach of any provision hereof be taken or held to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same provision or any other provision.
Non-Assignability. Neither this agreement, nor any interest herein, will be assigned, transferred, hypothecated or otherwise conveyed by any party without the prior written consent of the other party.
Severability. If for any reason any provision of this agreement shall be determined to be invalid or inoperative, the validity and effect of the other provisions hereof shall not be affected thereby, provided that no such severability shall be effective if it causes a material detriment to either party.
Independent Contractors. The parties are independent contractors for the purposes of this agreement and shall not be deemed to have any other relationship.

First, agree to the terms and conditions
You must email me that you agree to the terms and conditions shown below on this page, in order to follow up on any of the opportunities I send you.
You only need to agree to the terms once. After that simply follow up on each opportunities you receive, as our agreement is in place and applies to all speaking opportunities I send you.
To follow up on a speaking opportunity:
1. Please CALL my client ASAP
and continue to follow up with them often. Do not just email them. Some have asked that you send them a link directly to your video, then follow up. See the email I sent you for details.
Speakers who call the client and don’t just email close more bookings.
2. Identify yourself
as one of the speakers Alexander hand picked especially for them at their request.
They are expecting you to contact them and you have been recommended by me personally.
3. Roll with it
Some of my clients will not be very responsive. Some will be very responsive. One lead I send you may be a small school struggling to get a budget. The next one may be from Microsoft, the US Army or one of the most successful companies in the world. Several of my clients are fortune 100 companies.
4. Negotiate your rate, then do a contract
If my client decides to book you, negotiate your fee, do a contract with them directly and take care of all the details regarding the engagement. The budget my client has selected is always negotiable and can go both ways –> down or UP. Some speakers have gotten as much as 5 times the original stated budget my client originally indicated.
5. This lead is only for you
You agree not to sub-vend this client or event information to any other speaker or agency.
6. Communicating with me
Please do NOT cc me on email correspondent with my client. Please email me if they decide to book you or not. Please pay me within 7 days of receiving your deposit & balance from my client. Check Payable: Alexander Speakers Bureau If my client books you, let me know the amount for your speech and the amount for any travel/misc.
7. Travel expenses
If the presentation is out of town, please keep your travel expenses to 10% or less, if more, email me.
